808 Day with the RD-8: If You Fight The Lion, Prepare To Die

A quick and dirty little hardware jam with #Behringer's RD-8 in honor of #808 day. Having just learned about the exciting new dream genre "Hit 'Em" I decided to have a go at it. Crunchy beats in 5/4 time at 212bpm... Or at least the 5/4 was my intention. But in the final product that 5/4 gets lost. Too much distortion, obliterating the accents that were there in the beginning. Oh well!

Nice jam, like the intensity and aggression of this one, I was also feeling the force of the 808 this week and combined it with the ms-20

Great to hear another Hit Em track! Mechanical and groovy! A very different approach from the one I used.

(When I count out that middle section, I'm hearing the single snare hits in 4, so with each measure they advance one beat. Very cool...unless I'm mis-counting here.)
