March of the Millipede

Rough week, kinda blasted this song out as quick as I could. I created a simple beat on my Korg Volca with this note that kind of resonated with a preset that I slightly modified on my MicroKorg when I played the black keys. I played through it a few times, and one time I just sorta hit a song that felt fleshed out and interesting (to me). My wife said it's too simple but I don't really know what I could add to it. I did add some dark MicroKorg pads with a lowpass filter that played beneath the thing. Turned up the resonance and down the cutoff until it created that sort of throat-singing sound. I also re-timed a lot of the notes, but allowed them to still be a little imperfect because I like the aesthetic, but I also want the song to be mostly listenable.
The visuals are comprised of a long clip I recorded on my Sony Handycam HDR-260v of the trinkets and toys we have on this really long series of shelves in our kitchen. I put the footage through my Tachyons+ Psychenizer combined with my L/S/D+ and a Time Base Corrector. I slowed down the glitch footage from 60 FPS to 30 and edited it so the glitches would correspond with the musical beats. I also added little false glitch frames between some of the cuts to make the cuts feel a little more naturally glitchy.
It's now 10:00 PM at night and I still need to pack my bags to leave town at 8:00 AM in the morning, so I hope you like it and sorry if you don't, I'm off now!
