Take It To My Grave

(Note: after submission, I realized the lead vocal levels are too loud on this mix so I remixed it and that version is on my Reverbnation account: https://www.reverbnation.com/edmundsnyder/song/32056616-take-it-to-my-grave )
A friend of mine was telling another friend how she had told me a story that she had planned to take to her grave once when I was bartending. I really don't remember the story she told me--if she were to tell it again, I'd probably remember but I doubt she would tell me again.
Anyway, that was the catalyst behind this song. I played my acoustic guitar, my archtop electric, and my bass ukelele on this one.

Take It To My Grave
You told me a tale but you said I gotta take it to my grave
You sat and regaled me about a time that you had really misbehaved
You said I couldn’t tell a soul about the things you did that day
But when you confide in someone my age
I probably won’t remember anyway
I think you said that you were swimming on a crowded tropic beach G-C
Or maybe you were diving for something that was deep and out of reach G-D
Well, your speech went on and on, something happened I am sure G-C
Something, something, something, something, led to something quite impure G-D-C-G
You told me a tale but you said I gotta take it to my grave
You sat and regaled me about a time that you had really misbehaved
You said I couldn’t tell a soul about the things you did that day
But when you confide in someone my age
I probably won’t remember anyway
Pretty sure you were at Dino’s and the hour was getting late
Your guts were rough and churning—was it something that you ate?
There was something about a shot glass and a three-day-old eggroll
Something, something, something, something, and you’ve never told a soul
break
You told me a tale but you said I gotta take it to my grave
You sat and regaled me about a time that you had really misbehaved
You said I couldn’t tell a soul about the things you did that day
But when you confide in someone my age
I probably won’t remember anyway
