Life Without You

By E-dub on July 17, 2016 8:15 pm

I guess I'm back to writing lyrics this week.  As usual, I wrote/played the music before I wrote any words.

-----------------------------

Can't say what this is supposed to feel like.
Winning should be a thrill.
But since you packed your bags,
I almost always feel ill.

Nothing to think.
Nothing to do.
Not much to feel.
Life without you.

I hear there's someone for everyone.
And I found someone in you.
But since you left me stranded,
I just don't know what to do.

Nothing to think.
Nothing to do.
Not much to feel.
Life without you.

The guitars have a nice moody feel to them and I always enjoy hearing vocals.  The lyrics match the music really well.

This is excellent; love the hesitant vocal delivery.

Thanks. Pretty sure it's the delay that gives the guitar it's atmosphere.

That may just be me not knowing my lyrics as I sing them--I did this song with just one vocal take.  But it does fit the song so I went with it.
