This was intended as a continuation of my song Ana Phora from a couple weeks back. Same instruments, similar key. Sort of the same theme. Like I'm working on an opera of sorts except that I'm not.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your hair brushes my face
Open my eyes but no trace
of you
Where you always were
Where you would always be
It was always so good
It was great
But now you’re gone
And it’s late
And I could not move on
No one could compare
To that brush of your hair
To the tale I built in my mind
Forever, every night
And it was good
It was great
The nights go on and on
And you’re still there
In those nights.
Now dawn approaches.
I don’t know if I want it to
But the sun doesn’t care what I want
It promises a new day
And new life
But I don’t know if I want it to
Here it comes
Here it is

The music is pretty fantastic even though it is used as an underlying layer for the spoken words. This reminds me of Lou Reed, I love it.
But you always COULD turn it into an opera. I feel like there aren't enough operas these days.
