Fat Feline Carousing

By E-dub on March 6, 2016 12:32 am

I mostly recorded this song in July last year (4 July if the properties of the file are to be believed) and all but forgot about it.  I didn't do anything with it then, but I rediscovered the audio files this week and mixed them and played with them for awhile.  It already had the title.  It's not supposed to be political, but the title made me think of Senator Edward (Ted) Kennedy for some reason so I found a public domain speech he gave in December 1968.  I really don't even quite know what he's speaking about because I didn't listen to much of it.  He mentions Eisenhower fighting his hardest fight or something along those lines so I'm guessing that Eisenhower was hospitalized (several months) prior to his death in March of '69.  But after the early mention of Ike, he seems to ramble as politicians are wont to do.  Anyway, I don't think it's recognizable now with my modifications anyway.

So here you go.

lol. love the upbeat ballad groove this could use some lyrics. please don't make them directly about cats, but yeah. this reminds me of like some nice pop filtered through animal collective and played through a microwave

Ah, Teddy -- he was indeed the epitome of the fat politicat. Great integration of his voice; as 1000th says, it does sound like it's been microwaved.

This is really wild and playful!  Great job man!!

Thanks.  I thought about lyrics, but I wasn't sure I was up to the task of properly mixing them.

If that were Teddy, I imagine there's a waitress we can't actually see somewhere under that cat.

Dare I say the track is "Frisky"!

i can hear a typical snyder sound in there -- the chorus'ed guitar in the higher octaves -- i say that's a good sign!
