Forsaken

By Dwight Davis on March 11, 2012 8:25 pm

Another Sunday afternoon procrastination song! I need to get less homework so that I can start working on these during the week. This one turned out pretty nice, though. I figured out some new things I can do with FL Studio and played around with that a bit. I got the song name by opening to a random page of a book and finding a nice word in it. Forsaken seemed to fit.

I'm really starting to love your drums, I feel they kind of are the thing that signify your tracks.  My only criticism is that this is based on "those four notes" if you know what I mean.  It's still great though!

I really like chord-based songs. I tend to make a pattern with four notes or chords and re-use it throughout the song. It kinda adds structure and backbone to the song, but I'm wondering if I should try something different.

That's not really what I meant, by four notes I meant the four notes that all pop songs are based off of.  This song is based off those four notes.

Oh. The four chords. Lol. Some really great songs actually came out of those chords.
