Finale (A Weekly Beats 2012 Symphony)

By Dwight Davis on December 30, 2012 9:32 am

Let me start by saying that Weekly Beats was one of my favorite things that I did this past year. Looking back at it, with nearly fifty-two songs behind me, it feels awesome. All of my best musical works have come through this website, and rushed as they have been, they have helped me develop my style as an artist, and improve on every part of the song-making process. Thank you, Weekly Beats.
This song is a goodbye to Weekly Beats 2012. This song incorporates the melodies from six of my favorite songs that I put together this year. I wanted to add a few more songs to the piece, but I didn't have the time. These are some of my favorite and most defining songs from this year. You can listen to them all on this site. The songs, in order of appearance, are:
Week 2 - Hazard Warning
Week 5 - Blowing Up the Waterfall
Week 10 - Forsaken
Week 15 - Steam Engine
Week 16 - The Bass is Killing Me
Week 35 - Geometry
This year has been a blast with Weekly Beats. I loved it, and I hope to do it again. Also, sorry if the song sounds kinda... crappy. I don't have the best sounds for instrumental music, and the entire piece was made in a few (intense) hours. Please leave your feedback, and thanks for listening! See you in 2013.

Amazing! It's been a great year, sounds awesome, definitely a great final track smile Catch you in the new year!

Thanks for always commenting tiasu. Good luck in 2013!

Really pleasant sounds. I really like the cello and bass string textures in DSK. The bells are really nice too.  Hardly noticed the transitions. Nice work!
