Find the watermark avant garde? Is that to encourage intent listening? If so, it worked -- I listened intently, and liked what I heard.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------Yo, it's phil harmonic from weeklybeats. Im reviewing track and well, I couldnt tell if the watermark in your song was there to say that you posted a song with material that you dont hold the copyright to or not. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, but please dont use copyrighted material.
but if I am not supposed to use copyrighted material and I am uploading my material which is copyrighted, am I supposed to upload it? *brain: flush*

btw, can I ask you something? do you hear a strange clang in your speakers when you volume up this track a little bit? I am testing it on my MBP right now and the speakers are usually crap. still, I want to find out what may cause this. thanks!

You mean the little glitchy sound? I thought that was just pedal release noise.
There is a boomy quality to that the bass, but I'm assuming that's the room acoustics.
If it's any consolation, I had a track taken down a few weeks ago, not over copyright per se, but because I couldn't attribute the source. Bummer.

In many places, Netherlands included, everything you write is considered copyrighted the moment it is created in a tangible medium. I think the rules on wb is that you cannot use something that you do not have permission to use the copyright of. I'm guessing Phil wants to know if that watermark is to protect your work or someone else's since your description isn't very clear. I assume you added the watermark since you regularly license your songs. As for whether the voice in the watermark is fair use, you might want to check the terms of use since the file is not on their site. You might want to use a different watermark for stuff you put on this site, since this one is very distracting!
