Concrete Monolith

This week was supposed to be more ambitious, but speedtrash it is. Still speedtrash with live instruments, which would be unthinkable at the beginning of the WB, so that's a success

Also, my fav roland preset, glitch drumkit.

Sometimes it is easier to just arm a track, press record and play some stuff than trying to program cool midi for a track... smile

Cool ambiance. Guitars sounds great.

Go listen to my track, it is (kind of) about dominos not falling... that, vacations on a paradisiac island and a weird pyramid UFO. smile

Cool percussive samples. It really works good.

The great benefit of playing instruments is that it's often faster than programming it. No second guessing or endless editing. Just play and commit. And you'll get better and faster at making music the more you do it.

I like the overall vibe of the track. The sounds are cool. As is the rhythm. I do feel the flow gets interrupted now and again. And I think that maybe the delay on the guitar could use some more love. A bit more filtering, or maybe even no delay at all. Which would give it a very different vibe. But staccato notes with rhythmical silences command a lot attention and respect. That's truly the downside of speedtrashing, you don't have time for experimentation like that.
