Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting December 29th 2025 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

Had a lot of fun playing with the FM synthesis of the m8 this week. My goal this year is to really master it.

I am loving the panning on the lead synth. The syncopated hats, and the drums on the whole, remind me of a band I loved in college called Stylex.
The lead that comes in around the 2:00 mark is great, especially against the whispery bits that come in around ~2:45
Also, congrats for tackling M8 FM! I went on a similar learning expedition last year and it really paid off―if you're in ever in the mood for documented examples, I posted a bunch of last year's .m8i fmsynth patches to https://www.impbox.net/matey/ with usage/design notes in the descriptions.

Oh wow thanks! I totally forgot about that repo. I have to admit I've used so many of those patches in the past without ever taking the time to understand how they work! XD
the other one wasn't bad, but it's definitely the intro or think of it as the first movement
