Drum and Geese

By dr0ptpacket on October 9, 2022 10:09 pm

Not much time this week, but played with the two time stretching/sample chopping techniques on the m8. This song dials a 175bpm amen break down to 127bpm.

Nothing better to pair w drums
Here for the early New Order vibes and feeling it

What a ride for the Amen break; originally 136bpm, sampled up to 175, then down to 127―and it still sounds awesome.

Great track; the Amen is fantastic (of course), but I particularly dig the sound of that bass.

Thank you very much. I consider that high praise. I wore out my copy of Substance 1987 as a youth and now I'm positive some of it spilled out here.

Thanks for the encouragement and info. This explains why it sounds better @ 127... closer to the original 135.

Cool tune! Unique style smile

shades on, time for night dancing

Some really cool percussion work on this.  And an awesome groove as well.

Thanks, the m8 makes it easy.  The geese noises are just a bass drum sample jacked with.

Thanks you all for the encouragement! I thought this was junk when I uploaded it, but now because of you guys I'm jamming out to it in my car! tongue

nice amen

Agree totally feel those New Order vibes on this one, great use of the amen break, I love how versatile that break is, can be used almost at any bpm and any style.
