So many questions… so little answers… but with each answer… questions.  Thankfully there’s always someone within thought’s reach to answer us (thus fueling more questions). smile

The dark sounds + perc in the intro is really evocative.  Kept waiting for it to bust loose into a badass breakbeat, but it would work as-is as BGM for a tension-packed scene in a cyberpunk film.

Juicy thick sounds and a dope beat, ‘tis an edifice of sonic mastery! heart

It never is the destination, its always about the journey, side quests are necessary. Nice one this week.

Once again your games lead you to an interesting place.  There's probably something to be said for the idea of venturing out of one's comfort zone and then bringing it back into the comfort zone.

Really enjoyed the verbage on the synths.  It has ambient vibes that I could easily hear while playing Tetris Effect or a puzzle-like game smile

I have played and failed the same game many times, lots of little bits of hardware lying around but eventually circle back to the comfort of the laptop.  Cool track, some really nice sounds in here, like all the different perc sounds.

me: did you check the new dr0ptpacket track?
them: ?
me: you should, it's neat.  it's super jittery but has a subtle tide of synth waves underneath the surface.
them: i know, i listened to it.
me: i thought you said you didn't?
them: ?
me: so you didn't?
them: i did!  that's the name of the track!
me: i don't remember the name of the track!
them: ?
me: STOP DOING THAT!

I thought about it, but ran out of time.  Maybe in the future.  I agree with the BGM idea! I love BGM!

Well... it was more out of necessity if I was going to make the deadline! smile But you're right.  The nanoloop seed has been planted, and I still envy

Agree 100%.  I played this on a quiet loop to The Dark Mod this week, and it works so well.

Thanks I chopped the front off a kick sample to soften the hit, and cranked up chorus on the snare- that same philharmonia snare in their free sample pack.

LOL I named the song that because of the strange sound I accidentally made @ 1:12 like 'A# -> B (ARP) -> A#' and thought it sounded like what a '?' would sound like if it could talk.

Digging the dark vibe on this one and the snare sounds great.  Brooding.  I like.  smile
