Call of the Bayou

Been very busy with client work lately so I'm once again semi-scrambling for a WB entry. I was inspired by Red Means Recording's recent video about experiments with the Microphonic Soundbox, particularly the multi-band split experiment (https://youtu.be/U_7jpUYRKI8?si=a6-XVCs … &t=210).  In Bitwig it's very easy to do multiband effects with its Multi-FX 3 container device that lets you put any plugins you want into 3 split bands. Although for this piece I used a similar plugin called Crossover that lets you split up to 5 bands (find Crossover in this bundle of plugins https://github.com/robbert-vdh/nih-plug)

I put a bunch of effects like resonators, delays, and reverbs, especially using my new favorite echo/verb plugin, Lair by AberrantDSP (https://aberrantdsp.com/plugins/lair/), and I started experimenting with running my Daxophone through it. I used the same Crossover chain and ran my homemade 4-string cigar box guitar through it for some dreamy pads.

Overall I had fun! I'm definitely going to revisit this idea soon!

this is awesome!  love the video and the crossover of analog and digital.  love the cigarbox guitar, that is so cool.  the other thing (daxophone) looks so wild/versatile!

i like this nice and slower vibe going on so you passed my test (unprofessional, cause i hardly know how you do it, i just know that you do it) good going!
