System is broken

By djippy on August 28, 2022 3:21 am

I don't know if this is because I am going back to work next Monday that I had such a dark track that did get out, but I feel it is a decent one. (Late start this week, just composed, record everything this Saturday evening, maybe 2 hrs for this one...)

Didn't want to bother with mics, so all recorded with a Samson Q7 dynamic mic on preamp 1 maxed out from my focusrite scarlett first gen (except for bass DI).

Acoustic guit, vox, bass, plate reverb, some izotope Rx magic to remove some room noizes... Landr Mastering. VoilĂ !

I had great vacations by the way and should be able to catch up with your tracks this week as I'll listen to it working...

Rock!

Sorry for the ending, wanted to do a clean fade out, it did export like that, It is kind of late, I am lazy, the end is kind of broken this work with the theme.

i love the dark and brooding sound of your voice here..
at least in this track: everything works perfectly together big_smile

Wow, dark but awesome.  Excellent recording, hard to believe this was recorded with a dynamic.  Sounds so clean and precise.  Excellent work.

This song captures how I felt most of last week. I love how brooding it sounds.

on a Cobainish mood? Sounds good to me.

I don't think about killing myself if it is what you are speaking about... wink But yes, grungy vibes.

When cranking pre-amp, dynamic microphone have a nice "compression" quality, I do like to use this one as it is supercardioid and doesn't pick as much room noise as my condensers.

Thanks!

It's works fine, and any jank it may have is just fitting the theme overall, not just the ending.

The guitar sound on this track is really cool. The riff is crawling, like the dark waves of despair triggered by the end vacations wink . J'espere que tu as pu recharger les batteries!
