I was on vacation this week and just had good times with the family, so I did cut the music time. A big 1h for this one ... I sampled crickets a little while ago with my laptop. I started with that, trying to to have some beat that works/feels ok with the crickets.
Drums from addictive drums 2 played on a little keyboard, piano from addictive keys, electric bass in DI with added saturation.
Another done. I should have taken the time to stretch the audio of the crickets so it is on the grid, to play percussion on pads, etc, etc... I just leaved it as it is because no time to do it. Started at 4h30 and printing this at 5h30 as I am writing this.
I think it is great for 1h but I feel that I should dedicate a little more time on those. I probably will. maybe not.
Have an excellent week all.

Yo, very full arrangement for only 1 hour. Oh dang it gets real off the grid towards the end! Would be interested in where this goes if you spend more time on it
Spooky and gritty. A good combination
Definitely good work for only an hour and the crickets sound really cool as is.
Nice crickets! They even have a nice rhythmic pattern to them! I hope you enjoyed your vacations!
Nice man, this has got a cool ominous sound to it. Love the way you end it too.
Merci! I liked to finish without percussions as well.

Crickets sounds pretty cool considering it is captured with laptop microphone. It would have been nice to take the time to stretch it so I can work with the daw grid and I think it could be interesting. I doubt I'll do it soon but idea is there.

X2 Combo! Now I need to make the multiplier up.

Thanks! I agree that crickets sounds good, but as it is I was not able to cheat with quantize and get my life easier to record so it is what it is. .

Yes, it was the initial plan to use the crickets for the time, it was really not easy to follow as it is constant, but not crazy constant. anyways.
Thanks you all, it is always fun to know a couple of people listen to this stuff.
nice jam, great ending
