Simone est venu pour me voir

By djippy on March 29, 2024 3:06 am

Had a bit of fun with AI generated images this afternoon, it did give me something fun about this song.

Same recording process: the same synth bass, little guitar amp, acoustic drums in the garage and trying to continue the story... This one is about the protagonist that have a nice evening with Simone (the cute girl that did fix his robot)

Lyrics:

Mon robot me demande ce qui s’en passé pendant sa déconnection
J’ai vendu des trucs et rencontré une fille au yeux marron

Aide moi donc à être présentable, je la verrai plus tard.

Robot me dit qu’il m’a toujours trouvé beau.

The story goes on and I feel your musical creativity reached new levels. The solo at 2.45 is very good executed. Well done.

This feels like a classic track through and through. Nice work.

Thanks a lot. It is a weird feeling, I feel that this project-story is close to the end. I am not sure if I am using too much the same receipe from song to song, I don't overthink it anyways and am mostly happy with pretty much all those robot series one, but still, you know the "artist" doubts...

agreed that reverb heavy solo is fantastic. Also when that guitar comes back in at the end, a great finish!

It's cool to see the continuation of this weeklybeats concept album smile. I really dug how 2:27 forward feels very post-rock in its spaciousness and its build up.

I like the grungey left-panned guitar and drums.

Thanks! Yeah, I have a road block this week, didn't start yet, have to try to record drums this lunch break... About the guitar solo, this is very nice to receive nice compliments from somebody that can actually shread! When you can't yet (My left (and picking) hand is not fast at all, I can't economy pick neither), you try to find some harmonies that press the right buttons and adds tons of reverbs (and saturation on some of my other songs). I have some go-to that are effective.

Thanks, yeah, I didn't realized how much "empty" were the right space for guitars before the soloing, not sure if I'll re-visit (add a quick delay to the right or double the guitars), we will see.

Super stoked that you guys still takes time to listen to my tracks. Take care!

rock on

Excellent thick guitar sound throughout.  Fo sho that verb for the guitar solo sounds tremendous too.  Drums sound great in the mix as they cut thru the powerful guitars.  Nice work!

Fave part is the guitar solo section.  Sounds very epic and fills the mix nicely!
