Le calme avant la tempête

By djippy on March 6, 2020 5:45 pm

This one is all djippy. Started with drums, then pads, then bass, then piano, then changing "real sounding" piano patch to a random FM patch that added movement.

Since the 2 previous releases were collaborations with Bertrude members I wanted to release an all JP track this week.

Hope you guys can enjoy it!

Sounds good to me.  Love the drum sound.

Ca fit bien avec le FM synth, j'aime ça! big_smile

The light airy sounds contrast with those heavy drums in such a nice way. Interesting that you started with drums, I guess that makes sense if you're a drummer. Congrats on your solo track!

I like the heavy sound! Heavy on the bass and drums, the random piano bits are cool as well. Like all the toms and heavy crash. Well done!

I agree with @hieme: the light airy instrument clashes with the heaviness of the song in such a wonderful way.  I love how heavy and light this is at the same time.  Nice work!

Thanks, live drums, no metronome it waives here and there but it is what it is.

Dexted is free and easy to install on multiple computer, it is easy to work on the same projet from Job PC and home when using that as a synth... smile and I do like many of the patches.

Funny you guys tell that drums are heavy, I didn't feel I was playing that hard. I am happy it sounds heavy tho, I just didn't think it was the point when I did the drum freestyle.

Thanks for the kind comments, see you next week. Not sure what I will release next but I'll be able to give you guys another "something".

Have a great week!
