Juste une fois (pas au chalet)

I am not too proud of this one, it is a very, very wrong song, in all ways.

Started with a drop D stupid bluesy rock dirty thing. I don't know why, but it made me tough of a rape, killing song. So I improvised a story about that.

This one for sure will never go to the radio...

Well, they're definitely not all meant for the radio.  I don't understand most of the lyrics, but I can pick up on the dark predatory vibe of the music and the little bit of lyrics I did understand for sure push the message across.

Ah oui non pas a la radio, les paroles passeraient p-e pas hehe, mais les riffs oui smile

Yeah they're not all meant for the radio.  Like @CosmicCairns said, I can't understand most of the lyrics but this definitely feels like a DARK song.

The riff is solid. I can dig the tempo and feel of the song for sure.

could use some better mixing.
but i see good ideas in there!

Good ideas are good… I didn't work at all on this song this week, it was all recorded a couple weeks ago but the song I did work on this week was really not where I want it to be so I released this instead. I didn't have much time to mix it and I agree that it is muddy. I am not sure how I could clean this up and I probably will not anyway… I tried a little eq on kick and bass so we can hear a little more both, and I did not enough I think.

Drum is probably too far away… I did low pass the guitars at about 150hz. Boosted a little the hi mids so it is more agressive. Compressed vocals a lot, parallel saturation on vocals too.

And the Ozone element 8 on the master bus to make it loud, no tweaking, just leaving the AI do his job…

But this was done really quick, maybe less then 30 mins and the performance is not that great too, it is all right. It is something that I can either trash or re-work/re-record later.

Grungy as all get out. Agreed on the mixing but I feel if it were mixed too well you would lose some of the feeling.
