DIRK & CARL

Aargh, too little time to finish this one properly. sad
Anyway, it was meant to be a tribute to two musical heroes of mine, but time was again not on my side ...

That being said: made this one using a Millenium Drum, which was fun, and the DIVA plugin. And then I basically messed around until I had something.

have a nice week y'all!

Nice samba feel on that kick!  Great electro bass :-)

Thanks Jim, appreciate it! Pity I didn't have the time to finish the track. and edit some "mistakes" out. But oh well ... better luck next week wink

Thanks so much, hope i find some time to actually finish the track ...

Sounds good, I like the last 1/3 with the keys and bells panning from left to right

Everything was cool, but when that 16th note kick drum came in I was like OH SNAP THIS JUST GOT REAL

Thanks for listening through the whole thing!
I'm currently working on the track again, to actually finish off that last part, which I think has some potential. Hopefully it'll lead to something ...

Thanks man! I "stole" it somewhat from New Order's "Blue Monday".

I'm loving the way this thing slowly builds into something quite groovy.

Ahh nice work!
I love the build up, very groovy

Really appreciate it!!

Really cool how the low bass note plays off the kick and the midrange bassline. Also I agree the machine gun kick part gives it that old school sort of feel.  The extra synths that come in are suhweet too.  The slow development really pays off because each extra part just adds to the fullness of the sound.  Really groovy track, had me bobbing to the beat smile

beautiful groovin dance track, great buildup!
haha, who ist this carl guy btw?
grüße d.

There's so much depth in this! I really like the bass that is going on the down beat but lowers when the synth is played. Is it sidechaining against the synth or something? Feels like this would come out on a Holy Ghost! B side. Good stuff as usual!

For the Detroit flavour it has I'll guess it's Carl Craig, although I don't get who's Dirk... DeGiorgio, maybe?

As I said, excellent Detroit-ish techno. Hope yo finish the track
