This is a test run of a thing I've been working on. It's using Rack, the vcvrack.com software, via an ES-8 module to control various aspects of a modular synthesizer, in particular a looper and a filterbank, that's processing my electric guitar. It's still very much a test case, but I thought it more important to get something up this week, to maintain the Weekly Beats cadence, than to skip a week out of self-editing. There's some overdub toward the end, where I layered in material from an alternate take.

One thing I wanted to mention about the sequence is I was partially experimenting with having two sequences. There's a 12-beat sequence of triggers/etc. and I play the guitar on an eight-beat sequence, so they are at odds with each other, coming into sync and then separating.

Thanks. It's definitely fun to work with electric guitar, as a sound source and an envelope source. I use a Doepfer A-119 for my input.
