Mammoth on Main Street

By Disposable Planet on May 8, 2022 5:35 pm

This week was a battle to get something done in time so the result is kind of all over the place, sort of like a large specimen of extinct megafauna lumbering drunkenly down the center street of a town banging into shops and causing all sorts of property damage.  Enjoy.

Yo this is fun and funky bloop dance yes

The butt… it is ah wigglin’

Funky pachyderm hitting the town good.

I enjoyed this track! I especially loved the bass line and all of the cool effects. Video background is hilarious too. Again, another solid track!

This bounces so hard, I feel like a Max Fleischer character when I bop to it.  The arps sound fantastic and the slides are pure flex.  Let us all put aside our differences and come together to agree: Drunken extinct megafauna causing mischief in a built-up area + banging chiptunes is WHERE IT'S AT.

A+, 5/5, super-fast shipping, would rampage downtown again

Your video still says "CHAIN 23" and (a) lists patterns that don't start w/ a 2 and (b) mixes 4x, 3x, and 5x... The reason I'm grateful for this is that I recorded MIDI and ran out of 20-chains having 20s in 3 chains after compulsively moving empties to 00 and copy-pasting things in order and that ... doesn't affect the music at all, does it?

Love the tune, the glitchy breakdown around 1:56-ish or thereabouts is amazing. (Need to study your M8 sessions more, thanks so much for including the M8 bundles!)

Amazing groove with the drums and bassline, really bounce well together

Great tune, love the lightning speed staccatoness happening here

thanks so much - yeah i struggled a lot this week this was like the third project i started so I just approached it like a jam tried to keep the guitar sounding lead every changing and noodling

thank you!  the mammoths didn't die, they traveled forwards in time to an unspecified point in the future where they will appear en masse in attack formation

thank you - with the guitar-ish lead i wanted to recreate the feeling of a noodling guitar player testing the waters for a few bars before finding a groove and i find when I'm jamming on a guitar i tend to use staccato sometimes as a way of finding my footing

An acceptable loss, really.
