My first time doing weeklybeats.   Worked on this track over the course of several days.  It came out sounding very 90s dnb and Squarepushery - a bit too much actually, haha.

I started in LSDJ with an 8 bar loop with noise channel drums but moved it over to M8 Tracker to experiment with and darken the sound design (then later ended up sampling the LSDJ version into the M8 for use in the cut up part of the track near the end).   I'm proud of the vibe and energy in the middle section.  Drum decoration could still use more variations throughout.   Render is straight out of the M8.

Thanks for listening!

welcome to wb! this is an amazing start smile

a very pleasant sound design!

Nice tune, has a great energy!

God damn when the beat drops. You are so ridiculously good at this vibe, so I don't care if you feel it's been done, you do it so well, and I for one could always use more.

so good!

hear the Squarepusher influence in the bass' line and sound, and there's no such thing as too much squarepushery tongue

whoa! this goes!! big_smile

Thanks everyone!

me: i wish squarepusher would release a chiptune album
disposable planet: *exists*
squarepusher: here's the album
me: sorry, not interested
squarepusher: sad

this is really amazing - the solo in the middle is terrific and then when the kick drums double up I lost my mind
