Hideo

"The ninja relaxed his pull on the fine, braided string, lowering the bow. He crossed the tiles to where the Remington lay and picked it up. 'This is without subtlety,' he said, as if to himself. The voice was cool and pleasant. His every move was part of a dance, a dance that never ended, even when his body was still, at rest, but for all the power it suggested, there was also a humility, an open simplicity."
The Color of Television, Neuromancer-inspired album, Track #11 - "Hideo".
Three words: vat grown ninja. Hideo is the ninja assassin of the Tessier-Ashpool corporate clan. Grown rather than born, he follows around the Lady 3Jane, protecting her and the interests of the Tessier-Ashpools. The gang meets him in Villa Straylight where he is blinded by Riviera's projection implants. Bad move, because he's trained with blindfolds before and is still deadly even without his eyes.
This is a fast drum and bass number with a metallic edge. There's more than a little Prodigy influence on this one in the riffs and in the amen. In the second part you can hear the voices of all the people Hideo's killed. A soaring guitar solo can be heard cutting through the darkness later on. He's a bad boy, indeed, but he was grown that way.
Thanks for listening so far! More to come! So we're done with the human main characters in the novel (except Ratz but he comes back to DJ the final track)! Next week we will start the final triptych of the album with the artificial intelligence known as Wintermute.
