I got a new synth so I've been using my time recently to figure some stuff out. Mostly I realized how much my audio interface was degrading my sound. After about a week and a half monkeying around with it only to give up on it, I switched to focusing on this song. The cinematic flutes were the base and everything else just evolved around them. This one throws me back to the late 90s playing rpgs like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Breath of Fire, and Lunar. Those were the days
