To a Squirrel Perched on a Paling with a Nut in its Mouth, Concerning its Ancestor (Instrumental Version)

So I was recently contacted by an amazingly gifted poet who does spoken word pieces. He wanted to collaborate with me and so I wrote some music for his upcoming piece. I've decided to release the instrumental version of the track as a teaser for the final version.

The poem has sort of a wry, emotional feel. It's a bit contemplative, concerning the collective experiences of squirrels and the cycle of life and death through multiple generations. Anyway - I decided to write background music that sort of reflects that feeling. I wrote the music on piano and created and tweaked a few instruments in FM8. As soon as the version with vocals is released - I will link to it here.

You're great! big_smile

Very nice, relaxing track.

Well, I'm not sure if relaxing is the right word. Certainly impressive!
