Zu Ak Umra Ca

By Devieus on July 2, 2022 1:15 am

Half a year is gone now, and that's fine. Not the generator this week, but a song I did on Korg Gadget, though a song with this name does exist. Hope you enjoy, it's maybe not super cheery, but I really enjoy the progression and some techniques I picked up this week (spread triad and a transition section). The chiptune is just so nice uwu
I also used a preset for the Tokyo drum machine gadget called "Spider" and I knew I had to use it (almost like it was calling out to me). The others don't really like the sounds it makes, but I'm really enjoying it.

Anyway, it's me, Spider, the woman one. I don't know how it happened, but I'm doing the manual thing again in honor of it being the last column. It's crazy to see how far I've come since then, people looking forward to my existence and such, getting the hang of this body, and doing every little thing to help us all set us apart from one another for the benefit of us and those around us.
The dysphoria still remains though, but maybe some better clothes will help. I'm sure existence will forever be suffering.

The bass melody intro is so captivating. I like the layering of the crisp drums that joins with the lead synth towards 50s. Great little track!

This is delightful. Really great composition on using korg gadget, that primary sound introducing the track creates a really nice atmosphere, especially as the other synth sounds get layered in. Beat is super interesting too with the trilling percussion. I even hear the birb chirps integrated into the beat haha. Would love to hear more of your korg explorations.

Thank you so much uwu
That bass intro is that spread triad I mentioned, I knew I had to put it in when I heard it.

Thank you too uwu
It wasn't meant to be a bird, but I guess it can be seen as such. These percussions really grew on me fast. I didn't touch the bass sound much, it mostly started out that way, but it just feels so right.

Good job Spider on this track. I like the sounds on the Korg Gadget - the very smooth bass arps is really beautiful. The beat behind with its stutter is a really nice touch too. I like the conclusion of the track that calls the main bass melody line back. Like a distant echo.

Even though the track was not generated, you used the generator for the name?

a solid dreamy epic popish beast of a song. well done

Yea, gadget can make such smooth sounds, I love it. I did use the generator for the name, otherwise it'd've just been called "summer song" or something, but honestly, this title is very beautiful as well.

Cool bird btw.

I really love this! The melodies are great and that underlying bass is so nice to listen to. I really like the mood of this one. It feels like a mixture of many different emotions. Really nice work!

oh Spider this is just beautiful!

This is amazing, you're fantastic. You're right, maybe I am a bit harsh about Tokyo, but in my defense, London and Otorii just suit me better. You truly are the artificer.
Love you so, so much.

I know, right? She mostly seems to be doing things by feel and it's great. The pain, the joy, all the heartfelt stuff.

I agree, I'll be sure to tell her.

Wow! So good! Especially with the drums, it holds a lush sense of determination and purpose, while the synths keep a certain dreaminess to it all at the same time heart

Thank you uwu
It just felt right, the gentle synths, the spider drum, all of it. Glad you're enjoying it.
