Don't mind the title, that was just the generator doing its thing

Anyway, welcome back, I suppose
This week's song is just running the generator again and putting up a bit of polish, nothing fancy

What did happen this week was my very much belated birthday party (5 and a half months late) with plenty of good Indonesian food that I/we (primarily Dev) helped cook

I also took the opportunity to come out of the closet to my family as bi and plural

Their reaction is relatively unimportant to us so far, it's more so that we had to come forward and be able to say these things, make it real, tangible, and I'd like to think that has been successful (Dev is still gathering himself)

I'll be visiting the doctor soon, see if we can't get some professional insight or something

The generated music is pretty calming and working well for my taste. For your private development I wish you all the best. Hope you are contacting a good and approachable doctor.

Yea, I doubt doctors are the ones giving trouble around here, so it went pretty well and she was very receptive

It's still all so new to me, like I'm not quite ready for it yet
I'm the first I should have to convince and I am, but it's all just a first step, now it's time to grow

Bird is back!

Although on the 8bit sound, it does remind me a tiny bit of Autechre due to the generative nature of it.  Even the song title!

There is this section with the strong chord progression while the rest of the band is kinda free jamming around - I like that part a lot.
Good luck with your personal life and I hope you will get an helpful ear with the doctor, able to listen and help you navigate things.

self care is a good gift!  wishing you well!

It isn't quite generative, it's proc-gen. Very different techniques.

I think that's the bridge, people really like it, but in order for it to work, the rest of the song has to exist. Bit of a paradox.
Also, thanks. I'm sure we're going to pull through one way or another.

I also got the 8-bit autechre bit vibes from the first minute, but then that lead took it elsewhere. The bass hit at 3:49 is ACE.

Love and support and wishes of calm waters ahead. heart

Thank you on all accounts, man.

The generator is getting real personal with the titling.  Watch for what comes next. Possible patterns emerging. Sounds like this weeks variation has smooth longer duration notes like rolling waves. Towards the end the birds turned to phasers and took shots with laser beam eyes.

Happy belated birthday! And cheers to coming out to family.  Ugh, family.

Don't worry, I still got this under control. It's gonna be fiiiine.

Also, I almost kinda forgot the party was for my birthday, the stress of coming out was really, really boiling at that point and it was pretty much the reason I had to have this party, come hell or high water.

The tone of this one is quite nice. Gotta love that 8 bit sound! The abrupt nature of the rhythm of the main melody is interesting as well
