A minor tweak, you wouldn't know what it was unless I told you. It's the reverb, I tweaked the reverb.

So next week I'll have to do something about that Christmas thing. In all likelihood I'll just do a manual override on the instruments, but the composition will probably stay as generated.

Cool vibes. I am looking forward to the Xmas experiment if you choose to go down that path. smile

I wonder what would happen if you went full ambient with that reverb.

Very musical experiment!

I like that snare thing? Good stuff

The reverb!

This snare, the drummer is really into beating it into submission. I'm looking forward to the Christmas song, as long as it includes the birds!

This is a fine song, but what does the gun do in there?

Drums and melody sounding slick this week.  Reverb adding the secret sauce? Sounds more connected and fluidy (fluidee?).  Get those birds into a pear tree and you have your Christmas track smile

It'll mostly be doing the instrumentation, jingle bells and that sort of stuff.

It sounds like ass.

Isn't that just what WeeklyBeat is?

That's a good name for it. I should check it again, I really like it too.

It's secretly an industrial metal drummer, but got this gig for a bit.

It shoots rivets, in girders. At least that's what I'm going for.

Could be. The reverb was always there, I simply added extra reverb into the drums.

I have used a sample from this track under the Creative Commons license for my upcoming track this week (i.e. week 51) entitled v50sverm. I think the link will be generated as https://weeklybeats.com/trumbuthegn/music/v50sverm and if that turn out not to be the case, I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the inspiration! ヽ(⌐■_■)ノ♪♬

Aight. Let me know if you want stems.

Yeah, that would be cool. For the last week, I’m not making a sample-based track, but I could pick up the thread in WB2022 and remix one of your tracks. Do you already upload the stems somewhere?

PS: I’ve carved out the 6-10 kHz range for the sample, and have a lot of sounds on top of each other, so it might be a little unreconcilable.

Eh, I meant “Unrecognisable”.

I don't habitually upload the stems, but I keep the MMP files so they're easy to get when I need them. The stems are here. A copy of the code can be found on my github in case you want a new melody as well.

Thank you. I downloaded and unpacked the archive, and see the wav-files, but cannot open them. Perhaps it's a operation system thing.

I haven't tried LMMS, but that looks pretty straightforward. What's the difficulty level of running the code inside of it?

Weird, or maybe it wasn't quite uploaded yet. Try it again and see if you can open it now.

As for the code, it's independent, it doesn't run inside LMMS. All you need is python and run LMMS.py, that'll make an MMP file that LMMS can open.

Nice vibrato at the end!

I believe it's around elsewhere. That outro is rowdy.

The melody here is very nice! I also like the way the bass joins the melody but also goes on its' separate little journey.. or maybe it's vice versa. Cool vibrato ending too! Nice!

I'd like to think they get together as friends at times.

I tried again with another un-packing software, and it worked. I'll let you know when the remix drops, but it might be a while (perhaps WB2022 W01)

I understand. I've got a Python compiler, so that shouldn't be hard. I'll let you know if I try out. Thanks.

You don't need a compiler, an interpreter will do.

Looking forward to 2022.
