Uke Jam in Space

By Devieus on March 6, 2014 9:31 pm

So this week's theme was "in space", I'm going to be honest, I manipulated the lot by pitching that theme myself. My plan is to make a Uke Jam line of songs that will go through all sequel naming clichés and everyone knows there's a lot of spin-offs after the second one only to get back to numbers way later; so the first spin-off is "in space", which you can append to everything to make it sound cool (Teletubbies in space, The Iliad in space, Star Trek in space).

As it turns out, "in space" is actually a good theme, because like space itself, it's pretty open.

Truth be told, the recorded version of this song is quite rubbish, but spacy filters really made this one a keeper. That's why we do post-processing after all.

Nice! I do love the big wide reverbed sound of this.

Love this. I could totally imagine it replacing the audio on the Space Oddity video. So I loaded Space Oddity video up on youtube, muted it and played this over the top. Totally worked. Try it.

Yeah the sound on this is awesome.  It does sound spacey, but also slightly creepy especially at the beginning and end.  Those parts are almost like Exorcist music or something.
