Tuoh Eh Ich Wo

By Devieus on July 5, 2020 8:29 pm

I'm getting there. The mix is fucked up, but I'm getting there. Just need to untangle a bunch of stuff and put them in better places, but this week was kinda busy.

Also the bird's here, that's nice.

Damn, the melody is gong nuts on this one. Sounds really cool.  The bird sounds pretty happy too, which is good.

The bird part if my favorite.

Whoa, crazy melody. It’s also much shorter? Nice work. smile

Yea, definitely need to fix that one.

Mine too, it's the thing that survived the best.

A higher tempo will do that.

My dog despises this song, but I think it's cool!

That's mighty interesting. Any particular part that does this?

You gotta appease the fans. Thanks for bringing the bird along. It's feeling a lot more melodic with the low/mid-bass being filled more frequently.

When she hears bleeps and bloops her head tilts sideways with a puzzled look on her face. Pretty much the whole track! Haha

It does have a bit of a glitchy feel in this iteration, but that's cool in its own right.  Will be interesting to see what happens with the untangling.

The software procedures are gaining virtuosity and ripping glissandos and lead lines. It took the birds by surprise and cause quite a ruckus!

This song made me think about my kittens and what they must think of the sounds coming out of my room lol. this track is a little emotive

It does, but I feel it can be fuller.

Maybe the dog likes it? Or it thinks something food is happening?

It's the melody, I'm sure.

Yea, I like how that bird didn't see that coming and had to do a double take there.

That's why I use headphones.

very beautiful. the mood you created is positive and hopeful. so nice to have the happy bird back. I wonder how you generate the titles of your songs?

I have a syllable generator that chooses a vowel, then chooses whether it'll start with a consonant and which one, then it chooses whether it'll end with one (but will always have one if it didn't start with one) and which one it'll end with. Then I have a word generator that runs the consonant generator a couple of times and concatenates it into one word. Then I have a title generator that adds spaces at random; in this iteration at least, prior ones had fixed structures (first quarter was 2-2, second was 1-2-1) and didn't check for ending consonants.

Nice the bird is there, love the bird. This is like waking up somewhere, different.

I'll keep it around for a bit.

These droney goodnesses are good.

Are you able to tell me - is the generator (Python, right?) spitting out MIDI that you then put into a DAW and intervene (or not) with?

Bird's got those moves down.

Not MIDI, MMP, which is one of two native formats used by LMMS (The other, MMPZ, is compressed). It also includes plug-in/sample data and FX chains.
Everything else is completely spot on though.
