Ramped

So after two weeks of 40 hour work weeks, going back to my procedural music generator, I still like working with it.

I like it so much I have plans to make an even better version next year for the 2020 edition. It'll still be in python, but rather than using macrotunes, I'll make it straight for LMMS (it's just XML, really)

And then I'll use that generator to make a video game about the stock exchange or something, something easy and small, but still complex enough. Probably something more fun than certificating gambling machines, I hope.

Anyway, this week I put the tempo change back in, keeping the arp generator and progression generator as is. I did boost the arp volume a bit though.

The code is here in case you wanted it.

Code is awesome, results even more so. Nice tempo shifts!

Fire and water level.

I'm a fan of those arps!  The pace gave me visions of a kid icarus-like sidescroller smile  Well done

Progression is nice and tight! agreed 100% that your procedural pieces would be a shoe in for a game! I'd play it smile

Arps are great and the tempo shifts are a very nice addition.

They're definitely a great addition. Lots of great chiptune has pretty standard arps, but I think I can make it bigger since I'm not using macrotune to the max yet, like that fact that there're verses and envelopes.

I certainly hope so. It's nice to finally have it make music for once.

I hope I can execute them though.

The tempo changes and variations are a good addition as the composition is growing in complexity but also smoothing out. More connected.

Well, there's only so much complexity in 4 tracks, but it's definitely growing in character.
