One half of the year over, and another final column entry, so time to a new thing. Or rather, an old thing. Valx had the idea to add a melodica to this, and since he left before he could finish it (because there was a heat wave or something), there's no saturation on the bass. There's birds though.

We've been wanting to do this intro for a while, and it's still not quite what we had imagined, but that's okay, it's a good song now anyway. We'll grab it someday. Sooner or later. In the meantime, we might consider using the melodica more; though the recording quality is kinda shit, so don't expect too much.

Valx did have one last thing to mention. People kept mentioning how chipmetal is so special and unique, and while it is that, it is by no means a new thing and we are by no means alone. Usually we keep referring to Kubbi and Anamanaguchi, but what we really should be doing is talk about CarboHydroM. Some people may know him, many won't, but we want to highlight one song in particular that's meant a lot to us.

In retrospect, a lot of metal, maybe not as much chiptune. Great metal, and definitely something that inspires us. So here's one that's definitely right.

There's a lot that can be said and not a lot of audience retention to say it with. So let's just say it's a shame what happened to chipwin, it united great talent (see also lute and key, a duo, one of which, Pieces of Eight, participated in WB back in 16, who we'll maybe cover next quarter).

A melancholy yet nostalgic sound - good work!

Love the megamanesque drum fill.  A good theme played throughout that has a strong uplifting feel.  Guitars doing the heavy lifting and birds leading the  way smile
