Oc Bok Ciunith

It's not quite Ska. It's got some of the DNA in it, but it doesn't quite feel like it.

What I got instead was something I rather like, something worth looking into some other day. Maybe next week it'll be actual Ska.

I don't really listen to any ska to have been able to pick up on any ska vibes anyways, but the explosive percussion is pretty cool!

Crunchy, and very cool!

Not feeling any ska in it, but like the idea that it has simply become a part of the greater whole, and will pop up when it feels like it.

Def feeling flock of chicken vibes!

Nice and upbeat! I’m glad you kept the bird.

The idea was to have one track play on the off-beats, since that's what's most prominent in ska. I'm probably missing something.

Thanks bro!

At this point I might as well skip ska and go with whatever this is. It's just that I want ska to happen as a proof of concept.

I guess the hyenas were chickens in hyena costumes all along. Checks out.

I'll keep it till the end of the year I guess.

Throw Bob Marley's voice atop it and you might get where you're going.

This is not usually what I imagine when I think of ska (though maybe some melodies like the one around 1:24 could be in a sku track I suppose) but independently of that, it's an interesting one. The explosive beats and birds (?) are cool points.

Expectant parents: "Is it Ska???"
Doctor: "It's not Ska, but it has some of the DNA in it."
Mother looking at Father: "What the???"

I don't have a spare Bob Marley, but I totally would.

It's mostly the off-beat stuff in the rhythm section. It'll grow into Ska given enough time and tweaking. The birds are just in it for the ride.

I don't know how it happened, honest!

Pick it up, rude bird!

The popcornexplosions in slowmotion is not what ska is about, but it make the birds happy. And me.

Damn those rude birds. You know they right.

I mean, it could be, maybe we've been lying to ourselves and it's what Ska's always been about. Knowing you're happy about it is good enough either way.

Maybe ska is in the eye of the creator. Happiness all around though.

Ah  yes I see traces of the ska dna.  The explosive fireworky drums are the stars here though.

Been far too long since I checked in on what you're working on here. Always so different and entertaining. Can almost detect a ska rhythm in there!

No, I'm pretty sure Ska is a real thing.

Trace elements means there might be more. I best keep digging.

It's a little hidden, but it's there. Just imagine the songs you don't get to hear, there're a lot of those.

Sounds more like Scottish bagpipes or with bombs going off. I like it because it sounds like Atari tank battle and the birds have gone mad!

I guess you could call this Skattish.

I could see skanking to this, I really could.  How am I the first one to make that comment?

Because this wasn't quite Ska. You could skank to it, but it wouldn't be entirely right.

Skattish. That just sounds wrong.

It makes sense in context.
