It Damrezih Ap

By Devieus on May 14, 2022 9:49 am

I felt the dysphoria again, it went so well the entire week and then it just exploded. So I decided to use that in this week's song, modeling it after florelle by saturating and distorting the sounds, possibly to signify emotions, maybe because it's unique (if memory serves, they're three trans women from the Netherlands, something I guess I am too). It does feel right as emotions though. I'd love to talk to them more.

Yea, I'd say it is

I like the way you used distortion on this one, how this crackles and bring a welcome rawness to the track.

also * waves at the birds *

this one rocks!!!!

Love the overdrive! That crunch bites hard. Cool space violins at the end.  The birds are very subdued this week.

This one's got a fun chord progression to it, and an almost rock-like spunk. Nice work!

It's not quite what she wanted, but it gets the point across

I think that's the kinda vibe she might be sliding into

Just remember, distortion is always your friend.

wow - those harmonics from the distortion are wild!  I love how sometimes the 5th poke out, other times it's the 3rd.

The saturation/distortion sounds really good here! That growl at 0:55 is especially cool.

There was some finagling with it, because sometimes the overtones would've gone too wild
