Bigger Beats

By Devieus on November 14, 2018 5:43 am

That is to say, the beats themselves aren't bigger, but the drum patterns are now over two bars instead of just the one. It's the change that needed to happen. The drums feel much more lively.

Nice arcade vibe, 8 bit FTW!
Two bars for the drum stuff gets two thumbs up, too.

I guess I should stop then, lest I come face-to-face with a multi-thumbed monster.

Cheers.

In that case, two thumbs and a couple of big toes up! (seriously, I enjoyed it).

Whoops, totes backlogged on Devieus trax

Great piece!  I like the attack of the lead melody.

I'm not going to count those, so two it shall remain. I'll take the compliment though.

Yea, the attack was there since Attack of the Attack I believe. It makes it quite interesting.

Now go and enjoy my other stuff.

Definitely adds a nice dynamic, an extra pop of brightness, I quite like it!

I'm just glad it reduces the staleness.

I like especially the great structure between the faster and slower melodies. Has a nice, climbing quality to it. Nice!

I think one of them was meant to be the bass.

Crack, snap, and popping good! A nice addition to the rhythm.

I boosted the volume of the drum to make sure of exactly those three things.

The background arp sounds heavenly and goes great with the snap crackling drums.  Well done!

Yea, it's been there a while, but it's still really good.
