Sword of the Neo-Otyough

So, initially this week I wanted to do a classical piece. And then it got hybrid when I improvised a guitar part over it. And then another. And then I placed drums and stripped away some of the original instrumentation. Finally what I was left with was a 80's inspired thrash song. Mission accomplished smile

Sick sound very 80's very thrash good job!

Nice Thanks buddy

sounds a little dulled down or something but overall I really like it. I like that weird reverb sound that comes in from time to time although I think it's a subtle keyboard stab or something. nice solo too.

Hmm, maybe the dull downed element is the "rock" master default settings in Logic x. Mastering is always such a weird concept for me and I sometimes feel I muck up a mix by using default settings on mastering, but I don't think my room or speakers are properly tuned for it. Anyway, the stabs may be the bass line I wrote for the chorus sections, I also put kontact action strings over the top to give a little contrast.
