Made it to week 6! So at least I'm matching my WB2022 record. Felt like doing something easygoing, as life is anything but. Came out a bit synthwavey I guess. As usual, composed entirely on M8. Most instruments are M8 engines and drums are samples. A couple of the keys sounds are VZ-10 samples which I think is an underrated synth.
In retrospect it came out of similar to last track. I did reuse the guitar-ish instrument (which is an M8 macrosyn SAW SYNC). If I hadn't run out of time I'd try to rework the hihats and the lead lines, not super happy with them.

Sorry to hear that life hasn't been very easygoing recently.
But anyways, the tune is at least super chill and relaxing! I love the sweeping pads in the background throughout the whole song. And the guitar that comes in ar around 1:40 is also quite nice. Great job!

Thank yo, hypersynth makes sweeping pads too easy! And thanks for the concern, I'm alright all things considered, just busy busy.

Love that pad sound indeed! Never heard of the VZ-10, had to look it up: cool stuff!
To me the hi hats are good, maybe just splash some delay/reverb on it to add a bit of movement but the pattern/sound/mix is quite ok.

I also quite like the lead, don't see anything wrong with it at all, it's smooth!

if we must point out something, I'd lower the bassline's volume a bit, but overall this is really well done man, also like that pitch down effect at the end!

Thank you! Definitely welcome the feedback. I agree, also would change the bass sound - I switched out the patch a few times at the last minute because I was getting some clashing with the pad in the mid-low end, and didn't have much time to test the sound with different headphones. One of those times where a DAW+EQ would come in handy, but where's the fun in that wink

Ah I like the sound though, it's just a bit loud in the mix and I'm nitpicking wink Cheers!
