Saturday Night

A little change of pace and something lighter for this week … I've always loved the 50s and 60s rockabilly and rock 'n' roll stuff. This is my shot at that. I wrote the song in probably 25 minutes, most of the time spent with the lyrics. Everything was played, no programming involved whatsoever. For those who are interested: Drums were recorded with 3 cheap mics set up to best capture the room sound, the tele was recorded with a cheap condenser and a sm58 clone, vocals also with the condenser, rest was recorded directly into the computer. I also tried to up the ante on the overall sound, playing and production quality and I'm quite happy with how that all turned out. I'll challenge myself to cover more stylistic grounds in the next weeks to explore myself more.
