Life In Tent City Pt 1 and 2

By Dastein on March 23, 2014 10:13 pm

Continuation. Made entirely with Ableton and EWQLSO...so far. I've just gone over the rules again and I fear Im in violation with this piece as it may not constitute a finished composition. Therefore I will consider this the conclusion of its entry in WB and continue it on my own. Ill post the complete version to my soundcloud page when Im done.

Sounds like a really good movie score, congrats!

Excellent! I can't wait to hear the entire piece. I love the tension your were starting to build at the end!

Thanks
Yes, Tension is my middle name at the moment. Struggling with mastering still. Is it still the best practice to render your track with a -6db pad give or take. Then reload it as a .wav and "master" it from there. ...or should I try and "master" it from the master channel before rendering final version?

Honestly, my whole operation is pretty quick and dirty. On my master track I run a compressor, an EQ, and a Limiter. I end up smashing it all through and when I convert it in Audacity, I do a normalize to -.5 Db. Nothing special.
