Horizon Fall

By Dastein on May 25, 2014 10:35 pm

An older idea that got shelved when my band broke up. Stripped it down to drums and bass guitar then rebuilt it with more of a dramatic feel. 3 tracks turned into 26! Still tried to preserve the live band ambience even with all the other orchestration. Guitars are starting to creep back into my creative flow after a couple of years of simply being tired of their sound. I cant deny how expressive they can be.

Whoa! Attack of the GIANT pic file.  Sorry. Didn't know it would be almost actual size.

A track of this quality, deserves an image of that magnitude. Excellent work old friend!! I can only hope we get to experience more.

Yeah, this is really nice. I like how it's not tacky orchestral sample times. Great driving rhythm too.

Ya I have some of those tacky orchestral samples but this time its actually a free vst organ I layered on itself. Thanks for commenting Vinpous

This track is as gigantic as the pic above :-) No kidding, outstanding work man!

Big sound, but abrupt ending!

You can always resize and retag. I find that 800px wide or smaller works fine.

Thanks Ipaghost. The pic size I should have checked before adding the image. As for the ending...Not sure what happened in my render. I know that within Ableton it had a nice washy ending that was quite lovely.
smile

Great atmosphere, and I share your sentiments about guitars! Slowly coming back...

Beautiful work! Really loved it.

Thanks for listening and all the comments guys! Its super appreciated.

Love the chord progression and the guitar sound.  Add in the epic string sound and the rocking drums and this is def a gigantic image worthy track smile Damn Ableton render! I've had it do that to me sometimes, when you select or click a part of the track it thinks that is what you want as the end.  At least in my experience.  Either way I will imagine the washy ending smile Nice job!

Huge and epic sound, indeed. Very nice!
