was in self-isolation for most of last week because coronavirus
here's a thing i wrote mostly in that time period

This is a cool track. The singing is really good there - did you record it or is it a sample?

i'd say at this stage roughly 95% of my weeklybeats with vocals have been royalty free bits i've pulled off splice (. i don't have an amazing recording setup at home for vocals (literally a behringer microphone) and i find with the time frame i give myself most weeks i'm usually scrapping to get an arrangement together on the sunday, let alone vocals, lyrics etc. it felt a little bit cheaty at first but on the other hand i'd painted myself into a corner with the original version of this song until i threw the vocals in, and it just came together super quickly after that.

It’s no cheating, it’s not like it’s a sports competition. It’s akin to musical collage, that works. I’ll sound like a total noob but I did not know splice. This service looks very nice and could end up being very useful.
