modular exponential

this week's beat has been thrown together in a few hours last minute, but a lot of the sounds in it (particularly at the end) were made from experimenting with vcvrack this week. i've had a bit of an urge to dive into modular over the last few months and i thought starting with vcvrack would be a good way to go. a few youtube tutorials and a bit of trial and error later, i made this monstrosity:

the patch itself is kind of a mess, i'm absolutely certain there's a better way to streamline the process and sound generation. i wanted to build something i could sequence but before i knew it, i'd slapped 4 oscillators, a bunch of drum plugins and ring modulation and delay and just so much stuff where i was feeding it all back into each other that i had no idea what the hell i was doing.

Here it is in action if you're curious:

nice tune - wild to watch you click around on the video - makes NO sense to me, but fun to see smile
