this is mixed very nicely. any tips about mixing hiphop vocals for me? it's hard for me to get the vocals to sit in the "middle" of the track as opposed to "on top" - if that makes any sense. I like the trumpet sound and the secret bonus ending chords
it was a bit rough, but i double tracked the lines and compressed them a fair bit, just ran with the 'mildly aggressive' preset in ableton's compressor and tinkered with it accordingly. ran EQ8 on both of them to clean them up as well, because the microphone i use isn't the greatest one kicking around. final step was running a reverb on the group of tracks, just to give a bit of space with the lines. from there it's more a case of just working out levels.
