Another go at M8 headless MIDI sequencing some outboard hardware. A sampler, a couple of synths, guitar pedals and some Alesis effects into a Mackie mixer, live directly to a stereo recorder. Happy with the patches, the effects, the mix and overall aesthetics and vibe, however feeling a slight hint of cheese and corn in the composition. Getting a bit of jitter from routing the MIDI from the Teensy through the PC/MIDIOX and to an interface, but I'm not sure if the rhythmical jank stems from that or the messy percussion echoes.

Aaaanyway, had fun figuring out all the sequencing stuff, modulating the Quadraverb, etc, yo.

not too cheesy/corny for me... maybe I'm the wrong person to judge though LOL. not detecting any jank either, sounds solid to me.

love the reverb action just as with your other stuff. I've had a Quadraverb for like 20 years now and not given it a proper MIDI workout like this, sounds great.

nice! I keep meaning to use the m8 as a midi controller but haven’t tried it yet. is the delay one of the pedals? also the bassline gives some “how does it feel” vibes

Yeah, a lot of classic sounds in the Quadra, not least the MIDI modulation stuff. The jank is quite subtle, a couple of double triggers on the bassline and some jitter here and there.

Thanks! The delay is the Alesis Quadraverb being controlled via MIDI.
