Decided to do some hardware acid today.

- The percussion is plain old RD8, plus some TTSH Syncussion w/CV control.
- Bass is Novation Bass Station II.
- Acid is TD3.
- Pads is Microfreak.
- FX is an AKG spring reverb via a TC Electronics M350 for some swirl and FX levelling, plus some Alesis boxes and an OTO BAM.

All mixed live on a Mackie w/real time tweaks on a ring modulator, the Novation pitch wheel, the Syncussion, the acid filter, an Alesis and the AKG. Recorded to two tracks in Ableton and left unedited.

Would have liked to flesh out the arrangement with even more layers and more variations, maybe another day.

Take care, thanks for listening.

I love that you've done this all on hardware. Especially the Mackie mixer. Very cool. Are you using anything for master compression? Everything sounds really glued together.

That is quite the hardware setup, and it sounds amazing. An absolute symphony of acid, and great bassline work.

Sounding good. Funky bassline and trading of parts. The wild 303 contrast well against the more locked elements. I picked up the Sy0.5 for my syncussion alien drums fix. I had looked into those TTSH Syncussion but never picked it when I had the chance. Kind of regretting it now.

Cheers, thanks for the comment! There's a bit of RNC, 3630 and analog heat on the Mackie, and finally some naive plugin treatment in Ableton for "mastering". Glue compressor and limiter, mostly.

Thanks buddy! Didn't know about the Sy0.5, looks very handy with a couple of extra modulation points compared to the standard one. I built for TTSH kits when they were available, sold two and kept two. Syncussion quartet! Still need to add the PSU mod to lower the noise floor.
