Wherefore Art

Went to Czech last week and there was a medieval fayre in the town we were staying in. There was a band playing medieval style music (Arcus) which struck me quite hard. Didn’t have much time on this one but wanted to try some different chord structures, originally inspired by a Placebo track but the influences of Arcus seemed to also get involved…

So, maybe an indie / medieval chiptune type thing going on? Not sure and I’ve used some cheap tricks to extend the length of the track but I’m ok with that!

Created on m8 again, all wavsynth - 3 tracks of 50 sqr for “guitar”, 25 sqr for bass, triangle for flute, a couple of tracks of plinky sines for harps… and Avrilcadabra’s drum presets.

As a fan of ren faires and early music, I dig this a lot! The initial theme hits hard, and the high part that come in later weaves around in a great way. Love it.

Oh yeah! This is very medieval faire meets placebo! And I love the authentic chip feel you've been able to get. Nice work!
