RETRO-RPG-1-TITLE

So, think I’ve been able to do enough now to get my head around the m8 a little better and so it’s time to move on to something I kinda got the m8 for in the first place and a project I’ve wanted to do for some time.

Using the m8 to create public domain retro inspired chiptunes as retro game assets for indie/beginner devs. Yeah there’s quite a lot out there already but we could always do with more options. I’d like to pump out a bunch of at least reasonable tracks. Not sure my quality is there yet, but you learn best by doing! Once I get enough tunes together I’ll throw it up as an album with different formats and maybe the stems on itch.io and maybe some other places.

So here’s my starter. A little looping chiptune for a pixel art RPG. Keeping to the retro vibe using only 4 channels and no fx. Public domain for whatever ya wanna do with it!

I feel like a kid endlessly wandering around looking for the damn cave the hermit sent me to. Nice work and good luck with the project!

You absolutely captured that old sound!

That's a cute song, I might consider using it, but the mix is a little off. The lead and the bass sometimes resonate a bit too hard.
