The sound design in the opening is stunning.  The moody chord shifts and reverby chip leads have a cool Risk of Rain flavor to them.  The arps are also grea; I thought all the elements work together.  Maybe cutting some of them out for a few bars or only using some during fills/bridges would help with the "less is more* idea.
