Andalusian

"Andalusia is the southernmost autonomous community in Peninsular Spain, located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, in southwestern Europe. "
This is a Spanish dance, that just was in my head this week. I thought about calling it Saraband- which in the Baroque dance suits was the required exotic Spanish dance.  This starts with a"reverance" at the beginning where the dancers bow to each other. The heartbeat is in the piano with repeated 16th notes in Octaves and fifths, with an accent at the end of the figure, like a heart missing a beat. The Cello's strident falling 8th note pattern describes the dancers boldly circumnavigating the dance floor. Measure 20-23, the tempo slows as the dancers notice each other-- then the tempo resumes ending with a muted E minor chord as the the lady demures behind her fan.
